I now have high expectations for this film
I JUST COUGHED UP BOTH MY LUNGS, THANKS
Can’t go wrong with a track on the Dr. Demento Xmas CD!
Another fun story: My sometimes-dance-partner/good friend Cole almost got mugged this afternoon. He’s a skinny kid, but he’s wiry. The would-be mugger was apparently a bigger guy. SO COLE KICKED THE GUY UPSIDE THE FACE AND GOT THE UPPER HAND. So now he’s my sometimes-dance-partner/good friend/FREAKING HERO. He’s gone through a lot of teasing about being a (straight) male dancer, but he can do anything.
texanona said: I agree, they really didn’t give Elsa enough focus music-wise either. The first third of the movie was packed with music but then the last past just had a couple of dumb ones. There should have been another reprise of the snowman or forever song.
I KEPT WAITING for the reprise of the Snowman song. Or even a slightly bigger role for Olaf. Like, in the end, honestly, the men? Barely necessary to the story. I feel like you could have left them out and gotten a better story. I wasn’t invested enough in Elsa, which is a shame!
Damn, and they did such a good job of setting up the emotions in the very first part, too. I was sitting there all, “I know how much it sucks when something awful happens with your parents and the only one who would understand is your sibling except they’re being a jerk for some reason you don’t understaaaand!!!”
But I guess the snow and the dress made it up for me xD
Idina has sounded better. Not her fault, though—if the song had been better characterized, it would actually have turned into “Defying Gravity.” Defying temperature. Or something.
Oh, but Josh Gad. Every day I die a little bit because I never got to see the original cast of Book of Mormon (or any cast, but see below: I am a SNOB when it comes to the flavor of a Broadway show).
Sure I was busy watching my life actually crumbling before me, but I have a special fondness for that show in particular. RIP summer of 2011 because I’ve gone through too much therapy for you, lol.
Sheelos fic ideas that I may never have time to write, but will always have floating around in my head:
